Are calls forwarded on do not disturb?

With a shared number, you can forward incoming calls before or after business hours to a number that allows other members of your team to answer the call. It will only dial other team members who are available and do not have a conflicting work schedule or Do Not Disturb enabled.

If you don’t have a shared number, calls that come in when you’re on do not disturb mode will go straight to voicemail.

It’s important to note that do not disturb call forwarding to a shared number is only offered by VoIP business phone providers like OpenPhone; it’s not typically offered by traditional cell carriers for personal use.

Do your messages get delivered when your phone is on do not disturb?

Yes, messages still get delivered when someone puts their phone on DND mode. Their notifications will be muted until they turn DND off, so they won’t be notified about your message until then.

How do I enable do not disturb forwarding on an iPhone?

You can set up do not disturb on your iPhone with iOS 15 or later using Focus settings. Here’s how:

  1. Swipe down from the top of your Home Screen to open the Control Center panel.
  2. Tap the Focus button where the Do Not Disturb moon appears. If you don’t see the moon icon, DND is currently off.
  3. Tap Do Not Disturb to turn DND on or off.

Alternatively, you can ask Siri to turn Do Not Disturb on or off by asking it to do so.

How do I enable DND forwarding on an Android?

It’s easy to turn DND on and off on an Android. Here’s how:

  1. Swipe down from the top of your screen.
  2. Tap Do Not Disturb.

If you have a speaker with Google Assistant, you can ask it to silence your phone using voice commands.
